Aim or Objective:

To make student aware about the accurate and safer use of medicine, to create platform for participants of showcase creativity, to highlight role of pharmacist in the  healthcare system, to provide a platform for all  students of pharmacy to interact with each other and exchange their views regarding the recent developments in the field of pharmacy.

Report:

Placebo Club, Faculty of Pharmacy in collaboration with IEDC/DBU-TBI Foundations, Desh Bhagat University, and Mandi Gobindgarh organized a Pharma Fest-2023 on 23^rd November 2023.

The Theme of the event was “Pharmacy Strengthening Health Systems”.  The Chief Guest Dr. Gulshan Kumar Bansal professor and HOD of department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Drug Research Punjabi University Patiala,  motivated  the students to update regarding the current trends and technology in Pharmaceutical Sciences on routine basis. The guest lecture on the topic Challenges and opportunities in pharmacy profession was delivered  by Dr. Dipika Bansal Associate professor, Dept. of Pharmacy Practice, NIPER, Mohali. Various events like Quiz competition, Declamation and Poster Presentation were organized. Students of School of Pharmacy and S. Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University were present in this event. Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor and Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro Chancellor congratulated the faculty and students and motivated them to organize such events.  Vote of thanks was given by Dr. Puja Gulati, Principal, School of Pharmacy.

Outcomes:

• The knowledge of students had increased regarding the “Pharmacy Strengthening Health system.
• To encourage the Students for poster Presentation, Quiz competition and other Cultural activities for the benefit of all.
