Department of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages orchestrated a mesmerizing symphony of intellect and creativity at Psycho-fest 2024 organized on 26^th April 2024. This event served as a platform for students from various departments of the university to showcase their talents and insights through a model displaying competition and poster making competition, all anchored in the rich tapestry of themes drawn from the subject of psychology. From cognitive processes to social behavior, from mental health to developmental psychology, the event was a kaleidoscope of perspectives that offered a glimpse into the multifaceted nature of the human mind.

Under the visionary leadership of Director Dr. Devinder Kumar, Psycho-fest 2024 transcended the boundaries of conventional academic discourse, fostering an environment where learning was not just about absorbing knowledge but also about engaging in active exploration and expression.

The model displaying competition saw students ingeniously conceptualizing and constructing models that encapsulated complex psychological theories and phenomena. From elaborate dioramas depicting classical conditioning experiments to interactive displays exploring the intricacies of emotional intelligence, each model was a labor of love that reflected the students’ deep understanding and passion for psychology. Arshdeep Kaur and Manjeet Kumar Singh bagged 1^st, Harpreet Kaur, Manpreet Dhiman and Gudya rani Bagged 2^nd while Munasha Manwire and Mahak Gupta bagged 3^rd position in the competition.

Similarly, the poster making competition provided students with a canvas to visually articulate their interpretations of psychological concepts and issues. Through striking imagery and poignant symbolism, the posters resonated with the audience, sparking thought-provoking discussions and reflections on the human condition.

In his address Director Dr. Devinder Kumar said that Psychofest 2024 was not merely an event; it was a celebration of the human intellect and its boundless capacity for creativity and insight. He congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of the participants.  Advisor Dr. Virinder Singh, while addressing students said that participants and spectators alike immersed themselves in the rich tapestry of ideas showcased at the event, they were reminded of the profound impact that psychology has on our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.
