THE GIANT VENTURE “SOLAR ROOF TOP PROJECT” INAUGURATED AT DESH BHAGAT UNIVERSITY
On November 9th, 2022, The Giant Venture’s “Solar Rooftop Project” was officially launched by the IEDC Special Projects Department at Desh Bhagat University in Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. The event began with the chief guest, the honourable Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, receiving a floral welcome. This was followed by the lamp-lighting ceremony and the DBU anthem in front of the Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh, the President Dr. Sandeep Singh, the Vice-President Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, and other dignitaries.
The event was introduced by Ms. Kulwinder Kaur, Accounts Manager for IEDC Special Projects. The IEDC’s Director, Dr. Maninder Singh Madan, gave a brief overview of the solar rooftop project. He declared that it was past due to switch to alternative energy sources. The best energy sources are solar, wind, and water, as we are all aware. The most potent energy source that is available to us all every day is the sun. This massive project’s goals included industrial training, placement, entrepreneurship, research, and development in various facets of our society in addition to renewable energy.
Dr. Zora Singh, the chief guest and chancellor, stated that the massive solar rooftop project is urgently needed. We will all benefit from the solar rooftop project since it will lower our electricity costs and keep the environment clean. The pupils put on a cultural performance for the occasion. Students gained knowledge of the several advantages of solar roofing. They were quite excited to have solar panels installed at their homes. President Dr. Sandeep Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur commended the IEDC Special Projects Department for their fantastic idea. Vice President Dr. Harsh Sadawarti commended the faculty, staff, and students for their efforts in making the event a success. The national anthem marked the ceremony’s conclusion.
