Desh Bhagat University’s Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages, Education, Faculty of Design, Fine Arts and Faculty of Performing Arts and Media hosted a joint alumni meet on January 16, 2023. The event was a formal one where everyone met not only their friends but also their teachers and officials. The event also helped the alumni see the various changes that have taken place at the university over the years. Alumni from all the faculties participated enthusiastically in the alumni meet. Colorful cultural presentations like Giddha, Bhangra, a fashion show, etc. entertained everyone on the occasion. Honorable Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University Dr. Zora Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virendra Singh, Director of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Languages Dr. Devinder Kumar Sharma, Director of Media and Performing Arts Dr. Surjit Kaur Patheja, HOD of the Education Department Prof. Dr. Kamimi Sheoran, HOD of Fine Arts Dr. Yetti and various deans and directors of the university were present on the occasion.

The graduates and post graduates of all the concerned faculties were very happy to be back on their university campus. He was warmly received by his teachers and friends. They were all feeling nostalgic while sharing their memories of university life. Most of them hold high positions in various governments and public sectors. Dr. Zora Singh, Hon’ble Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, welcomed the alumni in his address. He said that the university is very proud of its alumni, who are working at different places and keeping the flag of Desh Bhagat University flying high. Tajinder Kaur, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor of Dr. Desh Bhagat University, while addressing the alumni of the university, said that they all are part of the university’s family and the university is always ready to help them. He wished them all the best for their bright future.
