Programme’s Educational Objectives (PEOs)
- To promote the scientific base of nursing knowledge and skill through innovative teaching methodology.
- To train competent nurse for preventive & curative health care to the patient at various health care settings.
- To build all round development of the students in curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
- To initiate, undertake and promote quality research in various health care setting.
Programme Outcomes (POs)
PEO1: To prepare graduates to assume responsibilities as nurse specialists, consultants, educators, administrators in a wide variety of professional settings
PEO2: Produce knowledgeable competent nurses with clear critical thinking skills who are caring, motivated, assertive and well-disciplined responding to the changing needs of profession, health care delivery system and society.
PEO3: Prepare nurses who can make independent decision in nursing situations within the scope of practice, protect the rights of individuals and groups and conduct research in the areas of nursing practice and apply evidence- based practice.
Programme Specific Outcome (PSOs)
PSO1: Provide safe, competent , compassionate, ethical, culturally sensitive and evidence based nursing car to individuals, families , groups, communities and populations through promotion, maintenance and restoration of health: prevention of illness, and physical, emotional and spiritual support throughout the life span including end of life; and across the continuum of health care environment.
PSO2: Demonstrate interest in continued learning for personal and professional advancement and assume leadership roles as first level managers in nursing services and nursing education.
