At Desh Bhagat University in Mandi Gobindgarh, the Central Bureau of Communications, Jalandhar, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, conducted a special painting and quiz competition. A photo exhibition titled “Story of Bravery and Development” was also held as part of the programme in Fatehgarh Sahib by the Central Bureau of Communications.

Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh attended the event as the main guest. Dr. Zora Singh, Regional Publicity Officer Rajesh Bali, Director Dr. Kulbhushan, and other dignitaries lit the lamp to formally open the programme. Rajesh Bali, the Central Bureau of Communications’ regional publicity officer, stated that the quiz competition’s theme was the Indo-Pak War of 1971 and that the drawing competition’s theme was Amrit Mahotsav of Independence.

Mr. Rajesh Bali, the regional publicity officer for the Central Bureau of Communications, stated that the quiz competition’s topics were the Indo-Pak War of 1971 and the welfare programs of the Indian government, while the drawing competition’s theme was Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. He explained that the aim of the program was to instill a sense of patriotism in the students and to inform them about the government policies put in place for the benefit of the populace.

Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh stated that through such events, today’s generation will be able to learn about our martyrs. The students gained knowledge about the valiant troops of the 1971 Indo-Pak conflict through the quiz competition. By giving their lives, they brought victory to our nation. He stated that the Indian government constantly implements various programs and policies for the benefit of the populace so that its benefits reach the maximum number of people. The students created lovely artworks to commemorate the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence. Dr. Zora Singh congratulated each winner and encouraged them to continue to improve. The bureau also gave prizes to the winners of both contests.
