Desh Bhagat University kicked off the Christmas season with a cake-mixing ceremony hosted by students from the School of Hotel Management and Tourism. The activity gave the school’s aspiring chefs hands-on experience. The university’s leadership, including the Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Virinder Singh, joined the students in mixing the ingredients with rolled sleeves. An array of dry fruits like almonds, cashews, walnuts, and pistachios, along with a blend of ground spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, nutmeg, fennel seeds, and star anise, were added to the caldron. An addition of endless bottles of whisky, rum, vodka, gin, beer, and wine took the mixer to a flavorful level. Chef Rinku Singh briefed the guests about the ingredients and their importance in the cake. Dr. A. S. Bedi, Director, School of Hotel Management and Tourism, deliberated on the importance of the mixing ceremony and cakes in this festive season. Prof. (Dr.) Virinder Singh, vice chancellor at Desh Bhagat University, motivated the students to take up entrepreneurship as a career option. Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, appreciated the zeal and enthusiasm of the students and extended all the support of the university in their quest to be entrepreneurs. Dr. Zora Singh appreciated the enthusiasm of the students and motivated them to become job creators rather than job seekers. Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor, wished the students and staff a happy festive season. The event was coordinated by Chef Rinku Singh, Mr. Karundeep Sharma, and Ms. Richa. Mr. Gurmail Singh, Ms. Ravinder Kaur, and other staff members were also present at the ceremony.
