Bachelor of Education

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)

PSO-1. Acquiring conceptual understanding of sociological, psychological and philosophical aspects of an individual’s development and its relationship with teaching-learning process.

PSO-2. Visualizing enshrined legislative provisions related to Indian Education system and facilities in an inclusive setting.

PSO-3. Providing integrated learning experiences within the socio-cultural milieu of the learners to respond to the diversities in the class-room.

PSO-4. Nurturing pedagogic, aesthetic and literary skills of an individual for self analysis and behaviour modification.

PSO-5. Providing opportunity for experiential learning to conceptualize disciplinary understanding and empirical knowledge of school curriculum to assess and reflect on teaching-learning practices

PSO-6. Providing exposure to ICT tools for their effective utilization in providing learning experiences as well as management of school activities.

PSO-7. Exploring the role of social agencies, school and society in nurturing holistic well-being and promoting healthy practices.

PSO-8. Sensitizing towards environmental issues and language background of students.

PSO-9. Identifyin g challenges of gender disparities, exposure to gender neutral pedagogic materials and training to address the gender inequalities.

PSO-10. Providing firsthand experience of all the school activities through engaging student-teachers as interns at secondary and senior-secondary stage


Master in Education

The student will get the opportunity to excel in the field of education with multiple skills. It prepares the individual to introspect into the nature of educational problems and generate diversified knowledge with dynamic educational plans and policies. They shall be dedicated and motivated towards continuous learning with a clear vision and mission.

Program Educational Objectives 

PEO1: To achieve professional goals with sound contextual understanding of foundational, pedagogical and specialized knowledge with insights on application.

PEO2: To be reflective, life-long learners who respond proactively to the dynamic situations develop context specific solutions and contribute significantly to students’ lives and the larger natural and social world.

PEO3: To produce competent teachers for undertaking higher studies & research    problems in educational institutes, training colleges, universities 

PEO4: To train educational administrators

Programme Specific Outcome of MA in Education: 

After completion of the MA in Education program, learners will be able to

PSO1: Critically evaluate current issues and trends influencing the field of education.

PSO2: Identify relevant research, read it critically, and evaluate it appropriately.

PSO3: Conduct applied research: Formulate a researchable question or identify an organizational problem, design and conduct a study using appropriate methodologies, analyze data and draw reasonable conclusions, offer sound recommendations based on those conclusions.

PSO4: Design appropriate and effective curricula and instructional strategies that are informed by current theories of learning and pedagogy, including meeting the needs of diverse learners.

PSO5: Select and effectively utilize technologies for professional development and for enhancing student learning.

PSO6: Write and speak clearly and coherently using correct grammar and sentence structure; communicate ideas and articulate arguments/positions in ways appropriate to reach the intended audience.

PSO7:  Establish effective professional relationships with a wide range of individuals in their SA   workplace and/or associated with their work.

PSO8: Critically evaluate current issues and trends in the practices of classroom instruction and curriculum development and apply that knowledge appropriately in the development of curricula and instructional strategies


M.Ed (Master of Education)

M.Phil. & Ph.D. (Education)

Program Educational Objectives
  • PEO1:To become knowledgeable in the broad issues of education and in the skills, knowledge, and problems within their specialization area.
  • PEO2:To develop an inquiring and critical approach to issues and possible solutions to problems in education.
  • PEO3:To develop competencies in the broad issues of conducting and evaluating research in education.
  • PEO4:To produce competent teachers for undertaking higher studies & research problems in educational institutes, training colleges, universities
  • PEO5:To train educational administrators
  • PEO6:To train students for educational and vocational guidance of youth
  • PEO7:To produce competent educational workers with a thorough understanding of the role of planning and education in national development.

Program Specific Outcomes

  • PSO1: Doctorate degree in Education gives understanding of the research method and what constitutes scholarly research process.
  • PSO2: Prepares scholars who will identify and conceptualize significant research problems and are qualified to undertake relevant research and contribute new knowledge to the field.
