Aim and objects: To promote awareness of pharmacists’ contributions to global health and to inspire people all around the world to recognize the value they contribute to society and to provide a platform for Postgraduate, undergraduate and diploma students of pharmacy to interact with each other and exchange their views regarding the recent developments in the field of pharmacy.

Placebo Club, Faculty of Pharmacy Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh organized  the. ‘World Pharmaçist day’, 2022 on 25th September, 2022. The Theme of the event was “Pharmacy united in action for a healthier world,”  to promote awareness of pharmacists’ contributions to global health and to inspire people all around the world to recognize the value they contribute to society and to provide a platform for Postgraduate, undergraduate and diploma students of pharmacy to interact with each other and exchange their views regarding the recent developments in the field of pharmacy. Various events organized for the full week which includes Rally to create awareness about the role of pharmacist in health care. Awareness programs regarding common diseases their treatments and precautionary measures, tree plantations, slogan competition, poster making competition. Students and faculty members of  School of pharmacy and S. Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University participated in all the activities with full enthusiasm.

The competition was inaugurate by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor Desh Bhagat University and welcome address given by Dr. Puja Gulati Principal, School of Pharmacy and Prof. B. D. Dhiman, Principal, S. Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy had increased the level of awareness about Pharmacy in all the competitions. Certificates and medals were award to winners. All the faculty members and students worked hard for the success of this activity. At the end of the event, Dr. Puja Gulati delivered a vote of thanks to all the participants, students and faculty.

Pro Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur congratulated Staff, students and members of Placebo Club for successful conduct of the event.

 Vice Chancellor  acknowledged and appreciated the efforts put in by students of Faculty of Pharmacy and appreciated efforts of Placebo club and conveyed best wishes to organize these types of activities in future.
