Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, signed an MOU with Guru Nanak Institute of Global Studies. Langley, Canada, recently in the august presence of Dr. Zora Singh, Hon’ble Chancellor DBU. The MOU was sign by Prof. (Dr.) Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President, on behalf of Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, and Sh. Gian Singh Sandhu, as President and CEO, GNI, Langley, Canada, on the campus. The major objectives of the MOU are to promote research and other academic activities through the exchange of faculty research scholars, and students and participation in seminar, symposia, and other short-term academic programmes and meetings. Besides these, library resources shall be share by the faculty and students of both institutions for capacity building and improvement of their teaching and research skills. The faculty and researchers of the partner institutes will engage in collaborative research activities and be co-investigators in the projects submitted to the funding agencies. The facilities for students under the MOU shall include admissions to courses like Shabad Kirtan, Frontline Management, Sikh Music, Sikh Musicology, etc., among others.
