Faculty of Nursing, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, under the guidance of Prof. Lovesampuranjot Kaur, officiating Director of the Faculty of Nursing, and Prof. Prabhjot Singh, Head of the Department of Community Health Nursing, organised a farewell and fresher party for the outgoing and new batch of GNM by GNM 2nd year students on December 21, 2022. The party’s theme was “CIAO.” On this occasion, Dr. Zora Singh, chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, and Vice Chancellor Dr. Varinder Singh were the chief guests. The event started with a lamp-lighting ceremony by all the dignitaries and faculty members of the nursing department. Students of GNM performed various cultural activities, modeling, and fun games. Prof. Lovesampuranjot Kaur encouraged all the students towards the noble profession of nursing.

Students from GNM 3rd year included Ms. Dimple and Mr. Arjun, who were titled Miss and Mr. Farewell; Mr. Mohd. Hussain and Ms. Neeru, who were titled Mr. and Miss Fresher; and Ms. Manpreet, who was titled as an All-Rounder; Mr. Amrit was tipped as the best performer. The honorable chancellor Dr. Zora Singh wished the students all the best for the future and asked them to always believe in themselves and work hard to achieve their goals. At the end of the occasion, Ms. Gurwinder Kaur, from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing gave a vote of thanks.
