A farewell party, HASTA-LA-VISTA, was organized for the outgoing batch of B.Sc. Nursing (2018-2022) by B.Sc. Nursing 3rd year students at the Faculty of Nursing, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, under the guidance of Prof. Lovesampuranjot Kaur, officiating Director of the Faculty of Nursing, and Prof. Prabhjot Singh, Head of the Department of Community Health Nursing. On this occasion, Dr. Zora Singh, the honourable Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, and Dr. Varinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor, were the chief guests. The event started with a lamp-lighting ceremony led by Dr. Zora Singh, along with other dignitaries and faculty members of the nursing department.

Students of B.Sc. Nursing and GNM performed various cultural activities, modeling, and games. A valuable speech was delivered by Prof. Lovesampuranjot Kaur to encourage all the students towards this noble profession. At this farewell party, students from the B.Sc. 4th year were honoured with various titles. Ms. Gazella and Mr. Yawar were titled “Miss Farewell” and “Mr. Farewell.” Apart from that, Mr. Harpreet was titled “Mr. Handsome,” while Ms. Naval was titled “Miss Beautiful.” Ms. Karanpreet was honoured with the “Student of the Year” title. Ms. Mehakpreet and Mr. Raveez were titled “All Rounders.” The honourable Chancellor, Dr. Zora Singh, congratulated all the students and wished them well for a bright future. He said that this is not a profession but a service to mankind. At the end of this occasion, a vote of thanks was given by Ms. Gurwinder Kaur, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing.
