Strengthening industry-academia linkages and enhancing youth employment opportunities
Desh Bhagat University (DBU), in partnership with the District Employment Bureau, Patiala, and Government ITI Patiala, successfully conducted its 70th Mega Job Fair at the ITI campus. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 1,479 students and 47 well-known companies, including industry leaders like Swaraj Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, and Federal Mogul. The fair culminated in 379 students securing job placements and 514 others being shortlisted for further recruitment processes, with the highest package reaching ₹4.2 LPA. The fair was inaugurated by Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice Chancellor of DBU, who reiterated the university’s mission to empower youth through meaningful industry connections. Distinguished guests such as Sh. Jasbir Singh Gandhi and Dr. V.K. Bansal also graced the occasion. The efforts of DBU’s Training and Placement Team, led by Ms. Puja Kathuria, were widely appreciated. This initiative stands as a testament to DBU’s commitment to bridging the gap between education and employment.
