Creative Towel Art Workshop

The School of Hotel Management successfully conducted an engaging and skill enhancing Towel Art Workshop on 21/04/20205, showcasing the creative side of hotel housekeeping and room presentation techniques. The event aimed to familiarize hospitality students with the art of towel folding — a key component in delivering memorable guest experiences in the hotel industry.

The workshop was led by Ms. Priya Verma, a seasoned professional in hotel housekeeping operations and Assistant Professor (Desh Bhagat University) who demonstrated a variety of intricate towel art designs, including swans, elephants, and heart shapes. Students from various hospitality programs actively participated and learned hands-on techniques to create towel sculptures, emphasizing precision, creativity, and attention to detail.

Dr. Aman Sharma, Director of the School of Hotel Management and Tourism, highlighted the importance of such workshops in bridging academic learning with industry practices. “Towel art is not just about folding towels; it’s about delivering a personalized and aesthetic experience to hotel guests.

This workshop is part of the School of Hotel Management and Tourism continuous efforts to provide holistic, industry-aligned education to aspiring hospitality professionals.

Dr. Zora Singh Chancellor and Dr. Tajinder Kaur Pro-Chancellor conveyed best wishes for the Workshop, “This workshop is a significant step toward bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical experience. Our students are fortunate to learn directly from industry leaders, one of the finest establishments in the Hospitality industry. We are confident that this experience will inspire them to pursue excellence in their careers.”
