The Placebo Club, Faculty of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University, organized an Awareness Camp on Malaria with the objective of educating the local community about the causes, symptoms, prevention, and treatment of malaria. The event was held on 02.05.2025 and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and residents of the nearby area.

The camp began with an informative session highlighting how malaria spreads through the bite of infected Anopheles mosquitoes and the importance of early diagnosis. Students distributed pamphlets and demonstrated preventive measures such as the use of mosquito nets, repellents, and eliminating stagnant water to control mosquito breeding. Free health check-ups and counseling were also provided.

Interactive activities like quiz and role-plays were conducted to engage the audience and reinforce the message. The event concluded with a pledge to maintain cleanliness and take proactive steps in preventing malaria.

The camp successfully raised awareness among the community and strengthened the commitment of the university towards public health. It was a commendable initiative by The Placebo Club, reflecting the university’s dedication to social responsibility and healthcare education.
