Desh Bhagat University organized a seminar on “Yudh Nashiyan Virudh” to raise awareness against drug abuse.

The seminar was part of a campaign by the Punjab Government, in collaboration with the university’s Red Ribbon Club, Department of Student Welfare, School of Nursing, and local government.

The event included an anti-drug rally organized by the Nursing Department to spread awareness among youth.

Distinguished guests at the seminar included Mr. Gurinder Singh Birring (MLA, Amloh), Sh. Chetan Bangar (SDM, Amloh), Sh. Gurdeep Singh (Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP), Dr. Saleena (Medical Officer, Amloh), and other social activists.

Experts shared insights on the psychological, social, and legal consequences of substance abuse, and the importance of early intervention.

Desh Bhagat University Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh emphasized the institution’s commitment to promoting a healthy, drug-free youth.

Pro Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, President Dr. Sandeep Singh, and other university officials acknowledged the efforts of the organizing committee.

Aks Rangmanch Samrala group, led by Rajwinder Singh, performed a nukkad natak to highlight the issue.

Mr. Gurinder Singh Birring, MLA, stressed the importance of awareness, education, and strong willpower in combating drug addiction.

The event also featured a performance by Aks Rangmanch Samrala, led by Rajwinder Singh, through a nukkad natak that creatively conveyed the message of the seminar.
