A Five-Day Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Transforming Pharmaceutical Sciences through Innovation, Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Therapeutics”was conducted from 13th July 2026 to 17th July 2026 through Microsoft Teams. The programme commenced with a Welcome Address by Dr. Puja Gulati, Principal/Director, School of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University, who warmly welcomed the Hon’ble Chancellor Sir Dr. Zora Singh, Esteemed Speakers, Faculty members of School of Pharmacy and other Faculty member of various Intuitions, and participants. The programme aimed to enhance the knowledge and professional competencies of faculty members by introducing recent advances in pharmaceutical sciences, artificial intelligence (AI), nanotechnology, precision medicine, and innovative teaching and research methodologies.

The esteemed speakers of Five-Day Online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) are Mr. Vipan Sharma pharma expert, GMP specialist, Dr. Gurpreet Kaur Professor and Dean Faculty of Medicine Former Heard Director, Center for Product Development Through Novel Technology Intervention, Dr. Anjana Bali, Assistantprofessor, Department of Pharmacology School of Health Sciences, Central University of Punjab Bathinda, Dr. Rajesh Dey, Principal & Director, at Camellia Institute of Engineering and Technology (MAKAUT) and Postdoctoral Fellowship (IIUM Malaysia) and Dr Kuldeep Singh a Senior Researcher National Institute of Malaria Research, ICMR, New Delhi, India.

The programme commenced with an inaugural session followed by an expert lecture on Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP), emphasizing quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and documentation standards in pharmaceutical manufacturing. Subsequent sessions focused on the application of artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical sciences, including AI-driven design of natural polymer-based nanocarriers, AI-assisted neuropharmacology and preclinical research, and the role of AI and machine learning in drug discovery, precision medicine, and advanced therapeutics. The final session highlighted ligand-decorated nanostructure carrier systems for targeted delivery of antimalarial drugs, demonstrating recent innovations in targeted drug delivery and nanomedicine.

The FDP provided comprehensive exposure to emerging technologies that are transforming pharmaceutical education and research. Participants gained valuable insights into quality management systems, AI-assisted drug development, nanotechnology-based therapeutics, predictive modelling, precision medicine, and innovative research approaches. Interactive discussions with eminent experts further enhanced the learning experience and encouraged interdisciplinary collaboration.

The valedictory session concluded with a Day Commencing/Concluding Address by Vice-Chancellor Sir Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, who appreciated the resource persons and participants, emphasized the importance of continuous faculty development, and encouraged the integration of innovative technologies into pharmaceutical education and research.
