Desh Bhagat University celebrated International Nurses Day with great enthusiasm at its School of Nursing.

The week-long celebration honoured the selfless service, compassion, and dedication of nurses towards society and the healthcare sector.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Dr. Lovesampuranjot Kaur, Dr. Prabhjot Singh, and Sukhvinder Kaur.

The event received support from Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti.

Various educational, cultural, and sports activities were conducted during Nurses Week.

Competitions included Tug of War, Lemon Race, Three-Leg Race, Kabaddi, Model Exhibition, Poster Making, Health Awareness Activities, and Cultural Performances.

Students showcased creativity, teamwork, talent, and sportsmanship through active participation in all events.

The main celebration began with ceremonial lamp lighting, floral welcome of dignitaries, and the University Anthem.

Cultural performances featured Punjabi folk dances, Bollywood performances, and musical presentations.

Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh praised nurses for their vital role in strengthening healthcare services and highlighted the values of compassion, discipline, professionalism, and dedication.

A prize distribution ceremony honoured winners of various competitions conducted during Nurses Week.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, cake-cutting ceremony, and best wishes for nursing professionals.
