Aim and Objective: The primary aim’ of organizing the inter-semester cricket tournament was to promote team spirit, physical fitness, and a sense of healthy competition among students of the Faculty of Pharmacy. The event also aimed to encourage student engagement outside of academic activities, enhance interpersonal bonding among batches, and foster leadership and coordination skills in a sporting environment.

Report:  The Faculty of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University, proudly hosted a grand Cricket Tournament on the university campus, which proved to be an exhilarating and memorable event for all. The tournament was marked by enthusiastic participation, energetic performances, and exemplary sportsmanship from students across all academic levels. This inter-semester event witnessed the active involvement of teams from Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharm) 1st to 8th semesters and Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years. Each team displayed remarkable dedication, teamwork, and competitive spirit, making every match thrilling and full of excitement.

The tournament was expertly coordinated under the leadership of Mr. Taranvirinderdeep Singh and Mr. Prabhjot Singh, whose continuous efforts, efficient planning, and real-time management ensured the smooth and successful execution of the event. From organizing fixtures and supervising matches to maintaining discipline and fair play, their contribution played a crucial role in making the tournament a grand success. Their commitment and hard work were highly appreciated by both faculty members and students alike.

A special mention and heartfelt gratitude are extended to our Hon’ble Chancellor Sir, Dr. Zora Singh, whose visionary leadership, constant encouragement, and unwavering support continue to inspire students and faculty toward excellence in every field. We are deeply honored by his gracious presence during the event. Chancellor Sir proudly presented the Winner’s Trophy to the B. Pharmacy 8th Semester Team, who emerged victorious after displaying outstanding teamwork, dedication, and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.

The Runner-up Trophy was awarded to the B. Pharmacy 4th Semester Team, whose commendable performance, resilience, and determination earned them great appreciation from all present. Both finalist teams were applauded not only for their exceptional cricketing skills but also for their discipline, respect, and encouragement toward fellow participants.

The Faculty of Pharmacy also expresses sincere thanks to Pro Chancellor Dr. Tejinder Kaur for her constant motivation and support toward co-curricular and sports activities that contribute to the holistic development of students. Special appreciation is also extended to Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti for his guidance, encouragement, and valuable support in promoting sportsmanship and student engagement within the university campus.

A special mention and heartfelt appreciation go to our respected Principal, Dr. Puja Gulati Ma’am, whose continuous support, encouragement, and inspirational leadership provided the motivation behind such a successful event. Her gracious presence elevated the spirit of the tournament, and her kind words during the closing ceremony were a source of pride for both players and organizers.

Beyond competition, the tournament became a celebration of unity, enthusiasm, and togetherness within the Faculty of Pharmacy. Students from different semesters came together as one family, cheering for their teams, supporting their friends, and enjoying moments of excitement and joy. The campus atmosphere remained vibrant throughout the event with applause, team chants, and the spirit of healthy competition filling the grounds.

The Cricket Tournament was not merely a sporting event but a platform that promoted physical fitness, mental refreshment, leadership qualities, teamwork, discipline, and strong student-faculty interaction.
