Aim and Objective: The aim of event is to learn potential safety issues, improve the
development of safer medicines and patient safety. To create awareness about the importance
of reporting adverse drug reactions (ADRs) to the Pharmacovigilance Programme of India
(PvPI) through digital platforms, ensuring patient safety and effective drug monitoring.
The Placebo Club, Faculty of Pharmacy, in collaboration PGIMER and India
Pharmacopoeia Commission organized 5 th Pharmacovigilance Week. The main objective
was to learn potential safety issues, improve the development of safer medicines and patient
safety and a play on dramatize real-life scenarios to emphasize the consequences of
unreported ADRs and the pivotal role healthcare professionals and patients play in ensuring
drug safety.

On this occasion students of School of Pharmacy, S. Lal Singh Memorial College of
Pharmacy and Mata Jarnail K College of Pharmacy were engaged in a wide range of
activities on theme Awareness of Drug & ADR reporting including Poster Making
competition, On this occasion a Street Play and speech was also organized at Ramgarh
village. All the students participated with great enthusiasm and energy.

Quiz competitions during Pharmacovigilance Week raise awareness, educate participants,
and promote the importance of drug safety and adverse event reporting. It makes learning
engaging and helps build a strong culture of medication safety.

3 rd Position: Harshdeep Singh

DAY II 18.09.2025
Oral presentation competitions during Pharmacovigilance Week to encourage participants to
share knowledge, improve communication skills, and raise awareness about drug safety. It
helps spread important information about monitoring and reporting adverse drug reactions in
a clear and impactful way.

2 nd Position: Muskan Kumari
3 rd Position: Suchit

DAY III 19.09.2025
An expert talk was organized by Prof. Dr. Bikash Medhi from the Department of
Pharmacology, PGIMER Chandigarh, during Pharmacovigilance Week. Dr. Medhi shared
valuable insights on the importance of drug safety, adverse drug reaction monitoring, and the
latest advancements in pharmacovigilance. His session helped enhance awareness and
understanding among participants, encouraging a stronger commitment to medication safety
practices.

DAY IV 22.09.2025
Street plays during Pharmacovigilance Week are important because they:
- Raise public awareness about drug safety and the importance of reporting adverse
drug reactions in a simple, engaging way. - Reach a wider audience, including people who might not have access to formal
education on pharmacovigilance. - Create a lasting impact by using storytelling and drama, making the message
memorable. - Encourage community participation and promote a culture of safe medication use
DAY V 23.09.2025
The concluding day of Pharmacovigilance Week. An awareness video was presented to
highlight the importance of patient safety. A competition was also organized, where students
showcased their creativity and knowledge, and certificates were awarded to the participants.
With this, we conclude the week and pledge to remain vigilant and promote safer healthcare
practices
Dr. Puja Gulati, Principal, School of Pharmacy, delivered the welcome Address and the vote
of thanks was delivered by Dr. Shailesh Kumar Gupta, Principal, S.Lal Singh Memorial
College of Pharmacy
