Aim or Objective:
– To create awareness about entrepreneurship and innovation among students and faculty.
– To provide knowledge on accelerators and incubation programs available for early-stage entrepreneurs.
– To encourage students and faculty to transform innovative ideas into sustainable startups.
– To bridge the gap between academia and industry by fostering collaboration.
The Placebo Club, Faculty of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, organized a special event on “Accelerators/Incubation Opportunities for Students and Faculty – Early Stage Entrepreneurs” on 18th August 2025. The program witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students and faculty members from the School of Pharmacy, S. Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, and Mata Jarnail K. College of Pharmacy.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, who encouraged young minds to embrace innovation and entrepreneurial opportunities. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Puja Gulati, Principal, School of Pharmacy, who extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries, faculty, and students.
During this special talk students gained valuable insights into incubation opportunities, the importance of start-up ecosystems, and the role of innovation in shaping their careers. The presence of Expert, Dr. Harjinder Singh Cheema, Managing Director, Cheema Boilers added great value to the occasion, as he shared his entrepreneurial experiences and inspired the budding innovators.
The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Puja Gulati, Principal, School of Pharmacy, who expressed gratitude to the dignitaries, faculty, and students for making the event a grand success.
