Desh Bhagat University celebrated Teachers’ Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and fervour at the Mahapragya Seminar Hall, honouring the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping knowledge, character and the future of society.

The celebration was graced by Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor; Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor; and Prof. (Dr.) Harsh Sadawarti, Vice-Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, along with distinguished dignitaries, Deans, Directors, Principals, HoDs, faculty members and staff.

The occasion was further honoured by the presence of eminent personalities, including Prof. R.D. Shukla, eminent educationist; Prof. Ashi Sareen, Director, Aastha Medical Centre, Patiala; and Col. Karaminder Singh (Retd.), recipient of the President’s Medal and renowned social worker.

Teachers and distinguished dignitaries were felicitated for their outstanding contributions to teaching and education, recognising their dedication, commitment and exceptional service.

Adding colour and vibrancy to the celebrations, students presented captivating music, dance and cultural performances, expressing their heartfelt gratitude and affection towards their teachers.

Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries highlighted the pivotal role of teachers in nurturing knowledge, values, character and leadership among students. They also appreciated the Faculty of Education and Educere Club for organising a meaningful celebration dedicated to the teaching fraternity.

The celebration concluded with a strong message of respect, gratitude and appreciation for teachers, whose tireless efforts continue to inspire, empower and shape generations.
