Introduction

An industrial visit was organized to CICU, Ludhiana, with the objective of providing students practical exposure to industrial operations, modern technologies, and industry practices. Such visits help bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world applications.

Participants

A total of 54 students participated in the visit along with 3 faculty members:

• Mr. Jaswinder Singh – Electrical Engineering Department
• Mr. Yespal Singh – Assistant Training & Placement Officer
• Mr. Kapil Kumar – Liaison Officer

Objective of the Visit

• To understand industrial processes and modern manufacturing techniques
• To gain exposure to advanced technologies and innovation
• To enhance students’ practical knowledge and industry awareness
• To promote industry–academia interaction

Activities During the Visit

During the visit, students explored various facilities at CICU and gained valuable insights into:

• Reverse Engineering Lab – Understanding analysis and redesign of components
• Artificial Intelligence Lab – Learning about AI applications in industries
• AWaDH Lab (IIT Ropar) – Exploring advancements in agriculture and water technologies

The students actively interacted with industry experts and showed great enthusiasm and curiosity throughout the visit.
