Indian Space Research Organisation’s START (Space Science and Technology Awareness Training) Program, conducted by IIRS, Dehradun.
Participants Honoured:
132 students and 2 faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Computing successfully completed the program.
Merit Recognition:
7 students – Ahmad Hussain, Amandeep Singh, Navjot Singh, Harman Singh, Khushi, Manisha Rani, Jatin Verma – and 2 faculty members – Dr. Gurinder Kaur Sodhi and Ms. Ravinder Kaur – received A+ Grade Merit Certificates from ISRO.
Keynote Presentation:
Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti delivered a presentation on “Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in Space Technology and Applications”.
Recognition of Leadership:
Dr. Sadawarti was felicitated for receiving the National Award as Best START Coordinator in India by IIRS Outreach Program.

On May 6, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, hosted a felicitation ceremony to honour 132 students and 2 faculty members from the Faculty of Engineering, Technology and Computing who successfully completed ISRO’s Space Science and Technology Awareness Training (START) Program, conducted by the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun. Among the participants, seven students—Ahmad Hussain, Amandeep Singh, Navjot Singh, Harman Singh, Khushi, Manisha Rani, and Jatin Verma—and two faculty members, Dr. Gurinder Kaur Sodhi and Ms. Ravinder Kaur, received A+ Grade Merit Certificates in recognition of their exceptional performance.

The event featured an engaging presentation by Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti on “Artificial Intelligence and Data Science in Space Technology and Applications,” shedding light on the vital role of AI in advancing space research.
