Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering Technology and Computing, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab has organised an online seminar entitled “Design, Analysis, and Applications of Steel-Concrete Composite Systems in Modern Infrastructure” on 08^th April 2025. Eminent speaker from a premier organisation was invited to deliver the lecture. Dr. Sougata Chattopadhyay, an Academician and researcher at Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab, has shared his insightful knowledge on the topic of Composite Structures and the structural behaviour of various shear connectors. In addition, he has explained the different types of studies, such as laboratory tests, finite element analysis, and future research aspects, which were truly beneficial for the research aspect. Total of more than ninety participants registered and participated in this seminar.

This seminar was mainly designed to transfer the knowledge of composites. The participants have given their feedback at the end of the event, as well as a feedback link was provided on the MS Teams platform for the valuable feedback from the participants. According to the feedback from the participants, they benefited from organising the seminar entitled “Design, Analysis, and Applications of Steel-Concrete Composite Systems in Modern Infrastructure”

Participants gain knowledge between the finite element analysis and practical scenario, and learnt different aspects of techniques related to civil structures.
