Desh Bhagat University Launches the Dr. Manmohan Singh Ph.D. Fellowship Programme
Desh Bhagat University (DBU) introduced the Dr. Manmohan Singh Ph.D. Fellowship Programme on 22 January in Mandi Gobindgarh.The programme is designed to honor the legacy of Dr. Manmohan Singh, former Prime Minister of India.
A total of 15 Ph.D. slots are available: 10 for Indian scholars and 5 for international scholars.
Fellowship Benefits:
- Monthly stipend provided to selected candidates.
- Opportunities for hands-on experience as teaching and research assistants.
University Leadership’s Remarks:
Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh highlighted DBU’s commitment to quality research and interdisciplinary studies.
President Dr. Sandeep Singh encouraged scholars to engage in research that addresses global challenges and societal progress, calling for contributions to “advance knowledge, build nations, and shape a brighter future.“
