Event Overview

The School of Nursing at Desh Bhagat University, in collaboration with the Community Health Centre (CHC) Amloh, organized an impactful awareness rally to commemorate World AIDS Day. This year’s theme was “Take the Rights Path: My Health, My Right.” The event aimed to spread knowledge about HIV/AIDS, its prevention, and the right to health.

  • The rally and related activities were organized under their guidance to highlight the importance of World AIDS Day.

Rally and Participation

  • Rally Route: The rally started from the college campus and proceeded to Amloh.
  • Participants: Students from B.Sc. Nursing 1st Semester and GNM 1st Year actively participated in the rally.
  • Objective: The participants raised impactful slogans emphasizing the importance of AIDS awareness, prevention, and the right to health.

Special Guests and Contributions

  • Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, Vice President of Desh Bhagat University: He graced the occasion and motivated students for their contributions in addressing public health issues like HIV/AIDS.
  • Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor and Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor: They commended the dedication of both students and faculty. Dr. Zora Singh emphasized the significance of such events in educating and empowering the youth to take proactive steps against HIV/AIDS.

Poster-Making Competition

  • To further commemorate World AIDS Day, a poster-making competition was organized, providing students with a creative platform to express their awareness of HIV/AIDS and its impact.

The event was a resounding success, with the active participation of students and faculty, and the support of university leaders. It highlighted the importance of awareness in preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS and in empowering individuals to recognize and exercise their right to health.
