To mark the World  Health Day as the Health awareness week. Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital ,Mandi Gobindgarh ,dedicated the (April 06^th to April 09^th 2023)week to. “MASS HEALTH AWARENESS CUM SIGNING CAMPAIGN WEEK PROGRAMME”.  

During this, the various community based outreach programmes were carried out by the Department of Public Health. Dentistry for community at large by the staff, students of Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh. Here Dr. Ravneet Kaur, Dr. Rajbinder Kaur. Dr.Arshdeep Kaur. BDS Interns as well as BDS third year students were participated . The activities carried out include:

Community Based Awareness Programme : The awareness programme was carried out in the village namely Jassran.  Gurudwara Sahib -Mandi Gobindgarh and Factory named-Vardhman ISPAT-Ambemajra  by the Department of Public Health Dentistry. Village residents were made aware about the various health’s related conditions as well facilities available in and around the rural or urban population . They also encouraged the patients to assure the oral hygiene as their responsibility.

World Health Awareness Programme among School Children- The school children are most vulnerable to poor health related habits due to peer group influence. Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital. Mandi Gobindgarh carried out among school children of Desh Bhagat Global School where Health. Awareness programme was carried out and school going children were made aware about the health programs ongoing and facilities by the government sector.  Even they have been made aware that how to avail the benefits of health care facilities and WHO and role of WHO for local population.

The World Health Day Awareness cum signing campaign organized by the Desh Bhagat Dental College and Hospital. Mandi Gobindgarh was a huge step forward in our campaign against the various deadly diseases which is plunging our society into the darkness and suffering. Everyone in the campaign was counsele and they signed a petition to educate people in their family and friends about Health for All and various health facilities and disease prevention.
