DBU Organised Seven Days Online Faculty Development Programme 

A seven-day online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) was organized by AIU-DBU-AADC, with participation from 49 faculty members from Desh Bhagat University and other institutions. The FDP focused on various aspects of research, including article writing, funding bodies, and collaborative opportunities.

Opening Remarks

The event began with opening remarks by Prof. (Dr.) H.K. Sidhu, AIU-DBU-AADC Coordinator, who welcomed all participants and emphasized the importance of research in the modern era. She highlighted that research serves as the foundation for academic quality.

Dr. Sachit Vardhan, AIU-DBU-AADC Nodal Officer, DBU, discussed the objectives of AADC and acknowledged AIU’s support for such initiatives.

Leadership Insights

Dr. Zora Singh, Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University, spoke about the significance of faculty development programs in enhancing the quality and growth of both faculty and the institution as a whole.

Prof. (Dr.) Abhijit H. Joshi, Vice Chancellor of DBU, reiterated the university’s commitment to advancing knowledge and emphasized that initiatives like this FDP are essential in improving research capabilities. He encouraged active participation, collaboration, and the pursuit of new research avenues.

Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)

The resource person for the first day was Dr. Sandeep Singhai, Head of Business Development and Principal Scientist at CSIR-AMPRI, Bhopal. He delivered an insightful session on “Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) – From a Researcher’s Perspective.”

The FDP concluded with a valedictory session, where Prof. (Dr.) H.K. Sidhu gave the vote of thanks, appreciating the contributions of all participants and resource persons.
