Introduction
A one-day awareness NSS camp under the Swachh Bharat Mission was organized by the Faculty of Pharmacy in collaboration with the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan/Swachh Bharat Mission Cell and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), Desh Bhagat University, on 27 August 2026 at the School of Pharmacy. The program aimed to promote cleanliness, environmental awareness, responsible waste management, and sustainable practices among students and faculty members.The event was conducted under the theme “Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskaar Swachhata,” emphasizing that cleanliness should become a natural habit and an integral part of individual values, behaviour, and daily life.

Objectives of the Event
The key objectives of the program were:
- To promote awareness about cleanliness and hygiene.
- To encourage responsible waste management and disposal practices.
- To develop environmental consciousness among students and faculty members.
- To encourage the habit of maintaining a clean and green campus.
- To develop a sense of social responsibility and civic duty.
- To motivate students and faculty members to contribute towards the vision of “Swachh Bharat, Unnat Bharat.”
Students of Pharm-D Students actively participated in the event. Faculty members also supported and guided the students to ensure smooth execution of all activities. The event witnessed enthusiastic involvement and teamwork among participants.

Activities Conducted
The following activities were organized as part of the event:
- Clean Campus Drive: Students and faculty members participated in a cleanliness drive to promote a clean and hygienic campus environment.
- Slogan Writing: Students participated in slogan-writing activities to creatively convey messages related to cleanliness, hygiene, environmental protection, and the Swachh Bharat Mission.
- Clean Campus Pledge: Participants took a pledge to maintain cleanliness and adopt responsible practices in their daily lives.
- Plantation Drive: Plantation activities were conducted to promote greenery, environmental conservation, and the development of a healthy and sustainable campus.
- Awareness Activities: Participants were sensitized about the importance of cleanliness as a habit, value, and social responsibility.

Conclusion
The NSS Camp organized at the School of Pharmacy, Desh Bhagat University, on 27 August 2026 was a meaningful and impactful initiative to promote cleanliness, environmental responsibility, and sustainable practices. The theme “Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskaar Swachhata” was effectively reflected through the Clean Campus Drive, slogan writing, Clean Campus Pledge, and plantation activities. The active participation of students and faculty members demonstrated a collective commitment towards creating a clean, green, healthy, and sustainable campus environment. The collaborative efforts of the Placebo Club, School of Pharmacy, S. Lal Singh Memorial College of Pharmacy, Mata Jarnail K. College of Pharmacy, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan/Swachh Bharat Mission Cell, and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the event.
