Occasion:
Held in tribute to victims of the tragic Ahmedabad air crash.
Location:
Desh Bhagat Hospital, Mandi Gobindgarh.
Participants:
Students, faculty, staff, and local youths from surrounding villages.
NCC Cadets from:
- Navy Unit – 1PB NU, NCC Naya Nangal (20 cadets)
- Army Unit – 14PB BN, NCC Nabha (10 cadets)
- Supervised by Sub. Lt. Chamanpreet Kaur.

Inauguration:
Led by Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur.
Emphasis on empathy, civic duty, and unity in times of tragedy.

Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, organized a blood donation camp at Desh Bhagat Hospital to honor the victims of the Ahmedabad air crash. This compassionate initiative, held under the university’s social responsibility mission, saw widespread participation from students, staff, and local villagers. NCC cadets from Navy Unit – 1PB NU, NCC Naya Nangal, and Army Unit – 14PB BN, NCC Nabha, also joined in the effort. The camp was inaugurated by Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, who highlighted the importance of nurturing empathy and civic responsibility. Over 100 units of blood were collected with full adherence to health and safety standards, in collaboration with Red Aid Blood Centre Khanna. The efforts of organizers and donors were recognized and appreciated, with Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti praising the university community’s humanitarian spirit.
