  1. A candidate who has successfully completed a Ed. in Special Education (B.Ed. Spl. Ed.) with a minimum of 50% marks in the respective disability area from a recognized university, or any other degree considered equivalent to B.Ed. Spl. Ed. from a recognized and affiliating university and/ or teaching department under any university recognized by the U.G.C. and holds RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) registration, is eligible.

 

  1. A candidate who has successfully completed the Ed. General course and has also successfully completed a Diploma in Special Education in the respective disability area, recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), with a minimum of 50% marks in each course.

 

  1. A candidate who has passed the PG Diploma (till the academic session 2014-15) in the relevant field is also eligible.

 

  1. A candidate with a Ed. in a specific specialization may be eligible for admission to the M.Ed. in Cross Disability / Multi-category (if offered). However, the reverse is not allowed—B.Ed. with Multi-category specialization cannot be admitted to a M.Ed. in a single disability specialization. As part of the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS), candidates with a B.Ed. in Multi-category may be admitted to the B.Ed. Special Education (B.Ed. Spl. Ed.) Area C courses, where they will complete the specialization courses required to qualify in a specific disability area. On successful completion of Area C, they may then be eligible for admission to the M.Ed. Special Education (M.Ed. Spl. Ed.) in a specific disability area.

 

  1. A student with A./B.Sc./B.Com. along with a B.Ed. Special Education (4-year Integrated) program is eligible.

 

  1. Candidate should have valid RCI Registration.

  • Candidates must have a A./B.Sc. degree in Psychology (4-year programme) from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate.

 

  • For the SC/ST category, a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is essential, as per the Government of India.

OR

  • Candidates who have completed their graduation programme in three years must have passed a fourth-year Bridge Course or the first year of a Master’s Programme in Psychology with a minimum of 55% marks to be eligible.

Note:      

  • Admissions shall be conducted by a Selection Committee, which shall include the HOD of Clinical Psychology.

 

Selection shall be based on an entrance examination comprising a written test (70% weightage) and an interview (30% weightage).
