Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital, under the aegis of Desh Bhagat University (DBU), organized the DBU International Symposium on Contemporary Endodontics to mark National Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics Day 2026.

The academic symposium brought together faculty members, researchers, and students to discuss emerging trends and the growing role of research in modern endodontic practice.

The event featured an international online lecture by Dr. Richard Gray, Chair of the Department of Endodontics and Predoctoral Director of Endodontics at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry, California, USA.

Dr. Gray delivered a lecture on “Endodontic Emergencies,” sharing global perspectives on clinical management, recent research developments, and evolving treatment approaches.

The second lecture was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Harpreet Singh, Dean Research and Head of the Department of Endodontics at Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital.

His talk titled “Bioceramics at DBU: Research-Driven Endodontics in Action” highlighted ongoing research initiatives, innovations, and future directions in endodontic biomaterials and evidence-based dental practice.

The program was graced by the presence of Dr. Zora Singh, Dr. Tejinder Kaur, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti, and Dr. Vikram Bali along with faculty members from various departments.

A key highlight of the event was the official launch of the new logo of the Department of Endodontics at DBU, unveiled by the Hon’ble Chancellor.

The celebration also included a cake-cutting ceremony to commemorate the occasion.

The Chancellor appreciated the initiative and encouraged faculty and students to actively engage in impactful research, emphasizing the importance of innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing dental sciences and improving patient care.
