Mandi Gobindgarh, September 29: Desh Bhagat University’s Department of Physiotherapy hosted a one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) program to mark World Physiotherapy Day at Mahapragya Hall. The CME was themed “Learn, Heal and Empower: Physiotherapy in Spinal Cord Injury Care.” The event commenced with a warm welcome of the dignitaries by Dr. Divya Midha, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy.
The program was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur as Chief Guests, along with Vice Chancellor Dr. Harsh Sadawarti as Guest of Honour. Renowned experts Dr. Priyanka Dangi and Dr. Sharanjeet Kaur from Punjabi University, Patiala, served as Resource Persons and highlighted the vital role of physiotherapy in spinal cord injury management.
The CME provided a valuable platform for students, educators, and healthcare professionals to exchange knowledge, engage in meaningful discussions, and explore the latest advancements in physiotherapy interventions. On this occasion, winners of the Rangoli and poster-making competitions were felicitated by the Chancellor and Pro-Chancellor. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Dr. Jaspreet Kaur.
