The School of Hotel Management and Tourism, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh, proudly organized “Alumni Meet 2025” on 13th September 2025 at APJ Abdul Kalam Hall, bringing together former students to relive their cherished university memories and strengthen their lifelong connection with their alma mater.

The event, themed “Back to Campus,” aimed to celebrate the achievements, contributions, and success stories of the university’s distinguished alumni while fostering a spirit of togetherness among past and present members of the DBU family.

The celebration began at 11:00 a.m. with a warm welcome extended to all alumni, faculty members, and students of the School of Hotel Management and Tourism (SOHMT). The event created an atmosphere filled with nostalgia and pride as alumni reconnected with their professors, mentors, and batchmates, sharing experiences from their academic journeys and professional accomplishments.

The program featured a series of engaging activities, including fun games, interactive sessions, alumni networking, experience sharing, cultural performances, and a special felicitation ceremony to honor distinguished alumni for their exceptional contributions to the hospitality and tourism industry.

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Chancellor Dr. Zora Singh and Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor Dr. Tajinder Kaur, whose guidance and vision have always inspired the Desh Bhagat University community.

Dr. Zora Singh, in his address, emphasized the importance of maintaining a lifelong bond with one’s alma mater and encouraged alumni to continue contributing to the growth and prestige of the university. He highlighted how the success of alumni reflects the strength of the institution’s academic foundation.

Dr. Tajinder Kaur, Pro-Chancellor, DBU, appreciated the achievements of the alumni and expressed her joy in seeing them excel in diverse fields. She encouraged the graduates to remain connected with the university and mentor the younger generation, thereby continuing the legacy of excellence and innovation that defines Desh Bhagat University.

The event was organized under the able leadership of Dr. Aman Sharma, Director, School of Hotel Management and Tourism, whose continuous efforts and coordination with Dr. Rupinder Kaur, Mr. Gurkiran Singh, Ms. Nivedita, and Ms. Srishti ensured the smooth and successful execution of the program.
