Budding Chef Competition

School of Hotel Management & Tourism, Desh Bhagat University organized ‘Budding Chef Competition’ themed on ‘Indian Regional Cuisines’. Fifteen teams from various institutes from Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttrakhand participated. The teams prepared dishes based on Maharastrian, Punjabi, Bengali, Rajasthani, Awadhi and Navaratri themes. The participants were to prepare three course meal including salad, main course and desserts. The awards were distributed by the Vice President of Desh Bhagat University, Dr. Harsh Sadawarti. He motivated the students and said that winning and losing are the part of life, participation is must.

Dr. Zora Singh Chancellor of Desh Bhagat University said that such competition not only develop the competitive spirit but the camaraderie as well.

Dr. Tajinder Kaur Pro-Chancellor said that India is the symbol of Unity in diversity and this chef competition has truly exemplified that.
