Scheme of Evaluation and Examination

Desh Bhagat University shall carry a total of 100 marks. Marks are allocated in both Continuous Assessment, Mid-Semester Examination and End-Semester Examination .

Attendance

Eligibility to Appear in End-Semester Examination: Students having less than 75% attendance in a course shall not be permitted to take the End-Semester Examination for that course.

Mid-Semester Examinations

The Mid-Semester Examinations shall be held approximately mid-way between the commencement and the conclusion of each semester.

End-Semester Examination

End-Semester Examinations shall be held at the conclusion of each semester.

Grading System

The grading system shall be done on the basis of a scale recommended by University Grants Commission (UGC) as follows unless specified by applicable councils,

Filling Regular Examination Form

In Every Semester/Year, Student must fill the examination form online for Regular Examination.

Procedure:

a) Visit the University website i.e. www.deshbhagatuniversity.in

b) Go to Bottom of the website and click on “Student” login.

c) Student login page will be opened and student enters his/her credential (Username, Password and captcha code) for login.



d)     Student check his/her detail on form like name, father name, program, mobile etc.

e) Student selects the subject according his/her choice for exam from the list and click on declaration.

f) After select the subjects and click on declaration box, click on “Save” button for update in ERP.

g) After the final save, the print receipt button enable for generating the acknowledgement slip.

Filling Reappear Examination Form

Student can register for supplementary/reappear examination through student portal online. Student can select the number of subjects (for supplementary/reappear) to appear and pay the fee.

Procedure:

a)      Visit the University website i.e. www.deshbhagatuniversity.in

b)      Go to Bottom of the website and click on “Student” login.

c)      Student login page will be opened and student enters his/her credential (Username, Password and captcha code) for login.

d)     For Examination Form, Select the “Reappear Examination Form” tab.

e)      The form of reappear examination will be open.

f)       List of subject with semester has been appeared and Student selects the subject according his/her choice for exam from the list and click on declaration.

g)      After select the subjects and click on declaration box, click on “Save” button for update in ERP.

h)      After click on save, student must submit the Reappear fee in account after that the acknowledgment slip generated.

Examination Date Sheet (Regular and Re-appear)

Date sheet of Regular and Reappear Examination will be show on student portal.

Procedure:

a)      Visit the University website i.e. www.deshbhagatuniversity.in

b)      Go to Bottom of the website and click on “Student” login.

c)      Student login page will be opened and student enters his/her credential (Username, Password and captcha code) for login.

d)     For Date sheet, Select the “Datesheet Form” tab.

e)      The Date sheet form of regular and re-appear examination will be open.

f)       Student select the regular for check the regular paper dates sheet.

g)      Student selects the Re-appear for check the re-appear paper dates sheet of all semester of their course.

Competitive Examination Cell

Being located in rural belt of Punjab, Desh Bhagat University, Mandi Gobindgarh , has established a competitive examination cell for guiding and providing coaching to students so as to enable them for better job opportunities and employability. The competitive Exam Cell has been established in university to motivate students for all types of Competitive Exams such as Civil services (UPSC, PCS), Banking sector jobs, TET ,UGC/NET/SLET, GRE / TOEFL/ILETS and various other public & private sector jobs. The cell has been conducting regular classes for the students interested in appearing for such exams in the campus. The cell also invites prominent speakers from various fields to interact with the students and guide them.

The Cell endeavors to accomplish the following objectives in the light of the aim specified.

  • To spread awareness about competitive examinations among the students (living in rural area where the university is located), and to create and sustain their interest in the respective field.
  • To introduce the students about the nature of different competitive examinations, its syllabi, various advertisements, the structure of examinations etc.
  • To provide the basic knowledge of necessary preparations like pre-examination preparation, post-examination preparation, basic preparations for the interview skills, etc.
