Organ Donation
Desh Bhagat University in collaboration with National Organ & Tissue Transplant Organisation (NOTTO), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, New Delhi has established an Organ Donation Cell in its university campus at Mandi Gobindgarh.
The following projects have been undertaken to promote Organ Donation activities:
  • Health Promotion and preservation.
  • Inclusion of Organ Donation and Transplantation in Academic Curriculum.
  • Distribution of End Stage Organ Failure and Organ Transplant pamphlet in all educational institutions at all levels.
  • In-service update of teachers about Organ Donation and Transplantation.
  • Celebration of India Organ Donation Day on 27th November every year.
  • Thematic activities about Organ Donation during any programme celebration.
  • State level/ National level competitions.
